We recently up grading our iPads (2 X's) and iPhones (2 X's) to the latest models (all wifi AC). Also running the newest AirPort Extreme (also AC). We have about 10 other devices on the network ranging from G to N. Question is should I make a separate 5 GHz SSID so the newer devices are always on AC? Any pro's or con's to doing that?

Generally, you can leave the AirPort broadcasting the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks on the same SSID unless you see clients constantly going for the 2.4 GHz network.

Agreed, devices are usually smart enough to pick up the 5Ghz band when it's available, especially when there isn't much competition as in your case.
