So i thought it would have been a good idea to zip my parent iphoto library off there imac to an external hard drive thinking i would just be able to unzip it after i did a fresh osx yosemite install. It made the transfer allot faster because it sees one big file instead of thousands of little files. But now that i have the fresh yosemite installed i can't seem to unzip the iphoto library.

Can somebody help me. My moms about to freak if the files are lost.

heres the error im getting.

I see this error reported, and you can try alternate methods of opening that .zip file. You can try through the terminal/command line, or another app, such as "The Unarchiver".
http://unarchiver.c3.cx/unarchiver

But, I also see this problem is a result of some antivirus software.

Do you possibly have Kaspersky for Mac installed? Disable, or even better - uninstall antivirus software, then try to unzip that iTunes library.
