If I trade in my 64GB wifi iPad 4, I can only get $175.

I put my iPad 4 on Craigslist for sale, $399, so far I have not got any reply.

What should I do?

Hi

It depends on how fast you wish to sell the iPad ?

I'm in the Uk and recently sold my iPhone 5s back to Apple and received a fair price.

I wanted to use the money to go towards the purchase of my iP6+

I also didn't want any possible associated risks / fees of selling the handset on a auction site.

Have you asked family , friends or Co-Workers if they would like to buy it ?

Perhaps reduce the price slightly to make it stand out and sometimes it pays to re list it after a week.

Good luck. :)

If you want to sell it on craigslist, make sure you consult with recently sold listings on eBay for pricing and then slightly undercut that when listing it CL. (FYI, you'd probably have better luck at closer to $350. Regardless, much better deal than an apple trade-in.)

Best Buy recently appraised my 4 64gb wifi at $287 trade in. That's for a gift card not cash, but still a good deal, especially if you are upgrading and can take advantage of their other offers at the same time.

You could probably get $250. Why would someone pay $400 for an iPad 4 when they could buy a new Air for $399?

$399 is way too much. It's needs to be down in the $200 range. It can take time on Craigslist. If you don't want to deal with Craigslist, Best Buy is the easiest method.

I reduced it to $349 for the whole week on Craigslist, and still no one reply me.

I went to Best Buy to trade in and got it for $283, there is a $100 discount on all iPad today, so I feel like I am selling it for $383.

All in all, I traded in my old iPad 4 and paid an extra $200 plus tax and got a brand new iPad. This is one of the best deal I ever had.

sorry to bring up a old thread but I am also looking to sell a iPad 4 32GB wifi with apple care + left on it till the end of the month and a zagg keyboard case. Its in Like new condition would I be wrong to list it for 335.00 on craiglist ? As I can't take less then 279 because I am replacing the iPad with the new iPad air 2 cellular version and verizon is giving 200.00 of the list price if you also buy a iPhone 6 or 6+ so I am trying to make it so my out of pocket cost after selling is at 250.00

$335 is pretty high for an iPad 4. Most people will probably not want to pay more than $250 for it. Realistically you should set it at $275 on Craigslist and go from there.

When I typed iPad 4 32gb into craigslist for my area the average price is 300.00 that is why I came to that price but what if I price it 280.00 fixed would that be a good price then ??

Yeah $280 is probably in a good enough price area for people to start making offers.

I'm going to be selling my iPad 4 after Christmas. It's the 32GB version, AT&T in space grey and will come with a smart cover. The iPad is less than a year old. AT&T replaced my other one with a new one after my daughter broken the end of her headphone jack in the other one. The old cover was getting a little worn so I replaced that with a new one during the Summer. I just started researching prices. I'm looking at what they sell for as apposed to the trade in value. I see one with 18 bids that is up to $360. on eBay. Some others are in the mid-$300. range and a few starting in the mid-upper $200s.

I rather not deal with selling it on eBay. I don't trust some buyers. They might say that there is an issue with it, get a refund and then I'm out cash and the iPad. Might toss it out on my Facebook first. I know I'd feel more comfortable buying something like this from someone I know. I'll also see if any close friends are interested. I'm thinking it should sell pretty easily in the $275. - $300. range.
