Hi

I've just purchased an iPhone 6 plus and would like to start from scratch again as I've been using the same backup since my iPhone 3G and had various remnants of old systems show up. However I really need to keep all my messages active as I've got a lot of work stuff in there as we tend to text a lot. Does anyone have an easy
way to do this transfer ?

Thanks
RM

Hi, does your iPhone 3GS still work and with all these messages on? if this you can try to transfer sms from iPhone 3G to iPhone 6 Plus directly!

as long as you are running up to date iOS this is something that itunes will do for you when switching phones

connect old iPhone and back up
connect new iPhone and restore from old phones backup

itunes will copy all the text message to the new iPhone

i don't know of any other way using itunes or other utilities to copy messages

some third party program can do that, and you can choice only messages or all files likes contacts, songs, photos.

There is a video named "Transfer Everything between Symbian, BlackBerry, iOS and Android Phones" on YouTube Channel "BeeGo.cc". You can have a try.

Best wishes!
