The 6S will come with 2GB of ram & A9 triple core processor and a beefed up 12mp camera with OIS on both models & possibly 4K recording, if it does come with 4K recording then 16GB might be a problem, hence we might see 32GB, 128GB & 256GB, by this time next year flash storage will be even cheaper than it is now, so 128GB will replace the 64GB iPhone.

Let put it this way those of you that bought a 6 or the 6 plus this year, will be doing all you can to get shut of it before the 6S goes on sale, as the the 6S will be the 6 that is done right.

Faster CPU, 2GB of RAM and better camera.
I don't think we'll have 32GB on the entry level, that's just wishful thinking.

If we go by what you say, what do you think will differentiate the 6S from the 6S+ (or 6+S whatever it is called)? Or will there even be a plus series model at all next year?

I think 6S will have

13 megapixels camera with better sensor.
Improved video stabilization.
120/240fps@1080p and 320fps@720p slow motion.
2GB RAM
Better battery life
Better processor (A8X or A9)

I don't think they will put 4K on the 6S tho, maybe on the iPhone 7. As for the 32GB model, nah, I don't think they will release 6S with 32GB storage. I bet it's going to be the same like iPhone 6 storage options - 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. Unless they put 4K recording on the 6S, then I think they will bump the storage options to 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.

I look to the iPad as the "test" model for what the hardware inside the next iPhone will contain. The iPad Air 2 has a Tri-Core 1.5Ghz A8X Processor, 2GB of RAM. If Apple continues to release two iPhones (assuming iPhone 7 and 7 Plus), I picture the A9 either Tri core (Like Air 2) or Quad-Core. CPU clocked min 1.7Ghz or 2.0Ghz. The iPhone 7 using the Tri-Core 1.7Ghz while the 7 Plus uses the more powerful Quad-Core 2.0Ghz. 2GB of RAM will be used for the iPhones. If Apple utilizes the larger 5.5"+ screen with enhanced multitasking (Multi Window (LG G3, Note 4)), then I expect 3GB of RAM. The camera has to be upgraded. It has been 5 years with 8MP resolution. iPhone 7 and 7 Plus both require 16 MP resolutions. Battery life needs to be improved. iPhone 7 requires 2,500mAh or higher. iPhone 7 Plus requires 3,500 mAh or higher.

A9 14nm dual core
4 core GPU
6gb RAM
4k solar panel Display
10 megapixel camera(more than enough for 4k)
4k video
Improved wi-fi antenna

I recall people making similar claims about the 5s and the 6, and neither had the fantasy specs that people imagined, but are still great phones. To be honest, the 6s could have 100 processor cores and 1000 GB of RAM, and I wouldn't feel particularly inclined to upgrade my 6. I don't even make use of its full capabilities. Phones have become like PCs where they're already overpowered for what most people do with them. Improved specs become as much about bragging rights as anything.

I upgraded from a 5s to a 6 only because circumstances allowed me to do so at little expense, and the larger screen is nice, but the fact that the A8 chip is 25% faster than the A7 or whatever they claim has made no notable difference in what I do with my phone or how well it does it.
