My son's iPad mini has about 128 photos on it, but when we connect it to iTunes on our iMac to sync it, iTunes says we have 2153 photos. That is filling up the mini and we can't figure out where the photos are. They don't even show up on the mini so we don't know what it has put on there. They take up space but can't be seen on the mini. Even though it shows 2153 on the iMac/iTunes, the mini still only shows 128 photos. He doesn't want any of these other photos on his iPad. How can we get these "ghost" photos off of his mini?

Let me ask this. He has a number of Videos on the iPad. When I go into "Photos" it says "143 Photos and 24 Videos" which I am wondering if it is counting all the individual videos as multiple photos? I just tried connecting it to the iMac again and instead of it saying it has 167 photos, it now has 1251.. and now the iPad is "Over Capacity" What gives???
