Hi,

I have a MBP (mid 2012), i5 with 8gb and 500hdd.

I'm told the default memory usage of SIMS 3 is 2gb, but this can be increased to 4gb (or 50% of the amount of memory which is in the MBP)

How do I adjust this setting on my MBP?

Any help gratefully received...........

You are talking of Large Address Aware. I remember doing it for Sims 3 but I had to do it using my PC and then copying the file to the Mac. It is a long time since I played Sims 3, but I seem to remember that EA changed it way back so that it automatically adjusts if you have more than 2gb of RAM.

Sims 3 is a very laggy game at the best of times. I played on an IMac i5 and it became unplayable pretty quickly because of the lag and the error 12s. If you haven't already, check out Twallan's mods, (NRAAS) particularly his Overwatch mod, as it can help manage some of the lag-causing problems.
