For open-world games, the 1 GB of video RAM in that iMac is going to be the limiting factor.

GTA IV was a terrible PC port, however the folks who did the Max Payne 3 PC release are working on GTA V. It should be a bit better than IV, but you're probably going to be limited to 720p resolution and mostly low details to get it in a somewhat playable state.

Hey mate,

How would you predict it to run on the iMac i7 3.4Ghz, 16GB Memory, 680MX?

I'm not confident in the GTAV PC port, it's still awful on the PS4 which is currently the best platform for it. It aims for 30fps but struggles to maintain that. Drops to 15-20fps when driving through the city. I worry about how the PC version will run.

The 680MX is much faster than the 750M, however it's all up to the port.
The 680MX should be a lot faster than the PS4 if the port is good, but you never know.

What about on the iMac as per specs in my signature.

I am not one for wanting fantastic resolutiuon. Smoothness of movement is more important.
