Just bought some new property.

There's a detached space that I'm going to turn into a "man cave."

I have no idea where/how to start.

Here's my starting point:

Different angle:

Other side of wall - side space:

It's heated and cooled.

Also have a hearth and will be putting a woodstove in sometime in the future.

Its altogether approx 1000 sq ft.

Took a few overexposed pictures for the Youtube channel, "Pimpmysetup" to get some constructive criticism.
So here are the pictures.

At that point the options are endless. Pretty jealous!

Your man cave has more square feet then my tiny house in the city lol. Very jealous. Can't really tell your floor plan from the photos, but it's time to join avs forums and start planning out your home theater.

My dream space would have 2-3 tiers of couches a huge screen, bar with beer taps etc. If you start out slow and diy, a lot of things you could probably turn that place into the envy of us all for a few grand.

Can't really tell your floor plan

Not mine, thou I wish. Photo's credit: Trey Ratcliff.

This is Hans Zimmers man cave.

Wow that wiring job is horrible. You think for all that money the network guy could've did a proper job, unless he did it himself. I'm an IT professional that's why I'm a little snobbish about the issue, haha.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. A lot of space to play with!

It's not much but since I live alone, my living room is my man cave. Here's just a portion. I took this pic yesterday after finally installing my Sewell Wallblade to hide all the wires. I do have 7.1 set up. Granted it is an Onkyo HTIB but it sounds decent and was within my budget for now.

The little monitors are Mackie CR3. And they sound pretty decent for being so small and pretty much consumer grade. I got them for free so I can't complain.

Modest but nice IMHO

Thought I would say Hello and join in somewhat.

Most of the stuff in here is new or somewhat new. TV, xbox360,PS3, and most of the Blu-Ray's and DVD's survived Hurricane Sandy. I think I may have a pic of what the room looked like when I got home the next day after the storm.

Nice set up. Where did you get the shelf for your DVDs?

Thanks. Got it at Best Buy of all places. You can't see it in the pic. when I put the backing on I put it on backwards. Now top behind the cases is black and down at the bottom it cardboard brown. I was in a rush that day because I still had the town coming to give me a CO and just didn't feel like taking it apart to fix it.

That's cool. I can't seem to find it on the Best Buy (Canada) website. Do you have a link for it? Some of their furniture seems pretty pricy.
