iPhone sim problems.

Hi, my brother is now using his girlfriends old iPhone, he added his sim and now his gf is seeing his contacts on her newer iPhone. Can I get some advice on what he needs to do about this? I take it the old iPhone is still linked to her iTunes account which she has synced with both devices or something and could be causing this, or maybe an icloud problem. Can I get some advice, please?
