The battery life on my Air 2 lately, is horrible compared to my iPad Mini 2.

Just want to know if this example is normal for everyone.

100% charged, & with brightness almost maxed, Two hours of continuous use (surfin web, reading emails and playing xcom) my battery was at 39%.

Thoughts? Is this pretty much what everyone else is seeing or should I be concerned? I obviously know if I turned down my brightness my battery will last longer, but my mini 2 under same circumstances. was so much better.

Thanks,

I am continually amazed at how good the Air2 is on battery life. With general use of browsing internet, mail, GLgolf, TapaTalk, and just general things I'm getting 10+ hours easy.

It's even really good when streaming football games on WatchESPN or Sunday Ticket. I haven't actually timed these on battery power but it's unreal. Maybe I should charge it fully and check the battery this Sunday. All afternoon I have a game on TV and one on my iPad.

If I were you and getting this kind of life I'd take it in and get it checked. Good luck..

I gotta admit, my Air 2 battery doesn't seem to last as long as my iPad 4th gen. The official battery tests show the Air 2 as being better but I'm not seeing it. I may try a fresh reset.

My wife and I both have iPad Air 2 and we restored from our iPad mini backups. We generally get about 15 hours of usage out of one charge. About 4 hours more than the iPad mini we had.

iPad Air 2 battery life - concerned

This is my battery stats from yesterday I think . And this is with cellular on

----------

I don't think usage time is a true representation of screen on time.

It does ... Usage time = screen time

I know that max screen brightness will certainly drain the battery faster than most anything else. I'd also make sure that there are not apps refreshing or doing stuff in the background. Double check your settings for that kind of stuff.

Otherwise, if you can get that brightness down, it'd go a long way to helping with the battery usage.

Says it was plugged in since the last full charge. Also you didn't tell us what your brightness setting was.

Also playing music with the screen off counts towards the usage I believe.

Brightness I keep around 65% and I plugged it in for about 10% of the battery . I get around 10 hours of usage normally on a full charge usually

10 hours 20 minutes usage
1 day 2 hours standby

22% usage with iPad game hit man go, I fail to see the battery issue with the iPad Air 2

I think I might have a problem with mine.........

I am getting on average 5 hours until shutdown from a full charge......brightness set at about 65-75%.........

My IPad Air was getting nearly double that doing exactly the same things....

Yesterday I was able to use my iPad Air 2 for about 15 hours from 100% battery to 2% battery left. Obviously it was not continuous use, but since I was off work for the day I wanted to see how long the charge lasted. Most of the time was spent on Safari, email, some game playing. Plus the few hours of down time during the day. My screen brightness is on auto and below 50%.

With heavy use (with same screen brightness) of game playing (world of tanks, clash of clans, etc) I get about 8-9 hours before needing to charge it.

If I mostly due research for work using Safari all day I end the day with about 20-30% charge left after 12+ hours of use.

Hope this info might help others.
