I've always had good luck with Crucial SSDs. 512GB for $99 is a nice deal, but the recertified label bothers me when it comes to this type of media.

Has anyone else bought a recertified SSD?

I bought mine during black Friday for $167 from a link on slickdeals.net at Newegg.

I don't no anything about the recertified but I thought I would share.

Slickdeals.net is a good place to keep an eye on for deals. Last week they had Samsung 850 Evos on sale but they were gone in no time.

I'm going to try to checkout for a 256 for my 2009 mac mini I use connected to my TV. I don't really need it, but it's cheap to go to SSD. I considered the 128, but for $20 more to double storage?

I hope it's not a mistake. Put a MX100 in my 2011 mini server and it was well worth it.

Hope this works out ok for 2009.

Update - I was able to order the 256. Make sure you select free shipping from the long list of options, if you're not in a hurry. A 4 year old drive that is reconditioned makes me a bit nervous, but...

I am considering ordering another one for my 2007 iMac.
