Hi all,
I've been very frustrated trying to sync all my different podcast playlists between my iMac (in iTunes) and the Podcast app on my iphone 5.

Anyone find it buggy? I set up the podcasts in the various subject playlists like Greenie, Writing, Sci-Fi, etc, and then Podcast changes the order, drops some, doesn't include others, fluffs about, etc. Is there something I'm missing?
This thread suggests I may not be alone in this.

This Lifehacker reviews some others, and says this of the Apple ap.
It's also worth mentioning Apple's own Podcasts (Free). Podcasts syncs your subscriptions with iTunes, so if you use that or an Apple TV, it makes syncing pretty simple. Podcasts isn't nearly as fully-featured as anything up above, but it plays podcasts perfectly fine, and if you're deep into the Apple ecosystem is has benefits for using it on other devices.2

Do you NEED to have your podcasts in iTunes? I use Castro. I'm not sure how the episode feature works as I only listen to one thing at a time. But Overcast will do the playlist thing with a purchase.

I have never done the organizing thing in the last 10 years of doing the podcast thing.

downcast works well it syncs between devices. though you need to open the app on each device to get it motivated. same with auto download it shows up but you need to open it to get it to download.
