Does anyone know if Apple (or anyone else) has an article about how the iPhone throttles and idles its two cores? I figured there would be a technical article about that somewhere. I'm simply curious. Does it turn OFF one core entirely when the phone is locked, running no apps actively, with the screen dark? Does it keep both on all the time but they turn down to super slow speed? Does it only turn on a second core in heavy processing situations that rarely occur?
