Bluetooth deactivation makes Macbook play iTunes automatically

A few months ago I bought a Bose Soundlink bluetooth speaker which itself works flawlessly. However, when its bluetooth connection gets deactivated due to inactivity for x amount of minutes, iTunes decides to launch itself and to start playing music on the internal speakers. Obviously, this is extremely annoying when asleep.
