My mom wants me to ask this and I'm not sure and don't know if some one else can give her a definite answer.

Apparently her brother sent her an email that had a virus/worm (not sure what, she just said bad email) and she opened it on her iPad (I think she thinks it was aimed at Windows PCs though).

She's wondering if it can do anything on the iPad.

I don't think so but I'm not sure that is a definite or not. And what should she look out for or look for to figure out if it was bad.

It is very unlikely that it can harm her iPad or do anything bad. Even less likely if her iPad is fully updated.
