Hi,

What would the be the highest resolution monitor that works well with the low end rMBPR 13" 2014? Price range: $400 - 500

The Dell U2515H looks nice but I've read of a few compatibility issues.

This model supports a simultaneous maximum resolution up to 2560x1600 on two external displays via Thunderbolt. Alternately, it can support a single display up to 2560x1600 via Thunderbolt and a single 1080p display at up to 60 Hz, 3840x2160 at 30 Hz, or 4096x2160 at 24 Hz via HDMI.

Cheers for the response. I hear, however, that the mbp has a few issues recognising the display. Do you have any experience with these monitors?

And to confirm, it can run a single display at 2560x1600 at 60hz correct?

Those are the specs it supports. Before assuming it can't handle those resolutions, it makes sense to investigate to find out if issues that others may have experienced were a result of problems with a specific display or with settings on their MBP. I haven't heard any indication that there is a widespread problem supporting those specs.

Thanks again for the help.

No assumptions made, I had just read of a few issues and wanted to quickly borrow from the MacRumours crowds' experience/ opinion on the matter. This post features as a component of the investigation you recommend.

Not sure if you like this as an option, there are people who have gotten 4k displays to work with that MacBook at 50hz. You just have to do a search to find out how. Dell has a cheap 4k 24 inch.
