Xserve forum here, I thought I would start in the most relevant forum section, since the Xserve is basically a rack-mountable Mac Pro.
Well, I just inherited a Xserve 2,1 (Early 2008) with "2x 3.0Ghz Quad Core Intel Xeon" I unfortunately cannot find the 3 hdd trays needed (They connect to the Xserve with a proprietary connector) and I have been looking for the place where it gets the 3 data connections, as someone with an Xserve G5, found the location of the sata connector and simply connected the hard drives with it and a modified power connection. So, I am trying it with my intel-based Xserve, but cannot find that place. I am still looking, but in the meantime, I thought I might ask here for help if some kind person would be willing to.
