The seven seas
I have an Early 2008 Macbook and a Mid 2009 Macbook.

Tried running Xbench with the same harddrive (yes ok SSD, not a drive) just to compare. the 2008 scored better results in most areas.

Scores:

Macbook 4,1

CPU test: 168.68
Thread test: 259.17
Memory test: 173.44 (4gb)
Quartz graph test: 180.62
OpenGL: 27.57
User interface: 248.10
Disk test: 232.17

Macbook 5,2

CPU test: 152.04
Thread test: 209.58
Memory test: 166.64 (5gb)
Quartz graph test: 165.82
OpenGL: 140.13
User interface: 237.97
Disk test: 402.60

The upgraded graphics and SATA clearly makes a difference, but what about the rest. Why did they upgrade (or downgrade) the processor etc.?

PC5300 vs. PC6400 ram doesn't make any difference or is my 4gb+1gb setup in the 2009 just crap?
