My 11" Air got Samsung SSD!

Crazy, while watching Detroit Borg YouTube reviews of the 2015 MBAs I took a look at the SATA controller that I have in my 11"...Low and behold I have the Samsung controller and get 1,400 MB/s in both read and write! I have the maxed out version of the 11" MBA with 512GB SSD...

One happy camper..Before I was thinking to return and save the $385 (w/ tax) and just get the 256GB with i7 and 8GB (custom), but no way I'm doing that now!

From my research, only 13" MBA got the faster Samsung SSD.

The 512 GB SSDs are always Samsungs. The lottery is only with 256 GB and lower SSDs.

Thats is good news to me. I'm ordering a maxed 11" Air too. So that only means that the 512gb offered in the 11" Air BTO are the upgraded ones. Nice.
