I mean that literally.
I was playing an online game, "Blitz Brigrade" by Gameloft (what else ....),
with a song in the MUSIC app playing.
Suddenly, the screen flashed, the song stopped playing, then the game crashed to the desktop.

So I go to the MUSIC app to restart the song and lo & behold,
EVERY. SONG. IS. G-O-N-E ....
But, oddly enough, in SETTINGS/GENERAL/ABOUT/AVAILABLE, it still reads
the same amount of capacity as if the songs were still there.

Yes, I rebooted. THREE TIMES. Still the same thing.
Any clues? Thank you.

That's weird. Try connecting it to iTunes or try downloading another song. Maybe that will make your music visible again?

I can't connect to iTunes because I don't have any other computer besides iPad.
I subscribe to "iTunes Connect", but that streams and I don't want that.

What kills me about this whole thing is the capacity.
I (had) 3 gigs of music, but since it vanished, it hasn't gone up 3 gigs in storage available.
It still reads exactly the same as if the music were still there.

But thanks just the same for your input.

Try logging out of your apple I/d and then logging back in. Does that help?

Dude, I'm so desperate right now that I'll try anything! lol
Hold on, I'll try it right now ....

----------

As I suspected, nothing, since I don't see what my iTunes account has to do with local storage.
But thanks anyway.
