I just got the new Retina Macbook Pro 13 inch (off the shelf at my local store). I want to use Logic Pro X. I had LogicPro 9 on my iMac 11,2 and loved it. I am mostly concerned about overpowering my Macbook Pro with Logic.

Here are the specs:

2.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor
8gb RAM
128MB internal drive

I have a 3TB external drive

Any recos would be great.

Will it be as quick at rendering as the quad core with IRIS Pro graphics? No of course not. Will it still work?? Of course it will.....

Many people run it on their 13 inch pro's for light work in the field.

Runs fine for me on the same model and specs. I've had about 5 sessions open at once with no problems.
