Does iCloud backup history?

Hi Folks

I am trying to get a yes or no answer to the following :

If one backs up the ipad to iCloud , does it back up Safari history?

I have got various answers to this; some say yes but not sure, some say a definite no, but it will sync it to other devices if set to do so. All seem to say that iTunes WILL back up safari history, but most say iCloud won't.

I'm just talking about a regular back up to iCloud ; no syncing or anything else!

Any answers??!!
