I have never used Photo Stream for various reasons, I really wanted an iTunes Match type thing for photos/videos (hello, iCloud Photo Library!).
Last night, I turned iCould Photo Library on my Mac and I noticed it also turned on My Photo Stream by default. I then turned My Photo Stream off. This morning after the Mac uploaded everything, I turned iCloud Photo Library on my iPhone and again, My Photo Stream was turned on automatically. I again turned it off.
My question is, what is the benefit or why would turning iCloud Photo Library on cause My Photo Stream to turn on?
