I just bought an External Harddrive a few days ago. I backed up my Mac before wiping my computer and doing a clean install of OS X.

Now I also want to backup my Windows PC. (I have already installed the extension to allow Disk Utility to partition NSFT.) However, when I try partitioning it, it says that doing so will erase my previous Time Machine backup. How can I partition the drive while saving my backup?

I'm little help, but there was a thread about a month or so ago on this subject. I think you have to shrink the existing partition on a Windose machine and then reallocate the freed space to your second partition... but any shrinking or stretching has some risk. If it were me, I'd just buy another drive :)
