Long story short, I dropped my phone in water and am now borrowing an iPhone from a friend.
My WhatsApp chats weren't set to back up and the last back up was 6 months ago.
I'm currently having an issue where it's constantly showing 'Connecting' status and when trying to do a manual backup, it shows 'Please wait' I've left it for up to an hour but it isn't going anywhere.
I've got many important conversations and pictures on there and don't wish to lose them.
I've considered deleting the app and re downloading but surely would lose everything?
FYI, other apps are using the internet and working fine.
