So, is there any way that I can hook a 4K DP monitor while charging my macbook?

There seems to be no adapters from Apple for this purpose.

If not, what would be the best possible combination for this sort of experience?

I'm ready to spend $ for a monitor and a cable.

Does it have an HDMI input? HDMI can now do 4k.

That completely dependent on the version of HDMI. Saying HDMI in general can do 4K is a bit misleading as only the latest speck is capable of 4K.

4K@60Hz....
I have been able to get 4K@30Hz through HDMI (Windows machine). Of course, it's next to useless (30Hz, not Windows ).
