I am having an iPhone 5 64 GB bought from Malaysia..
I'm experiencing a strange problem. My phone isn't able to connect to a 2G network. Whenever I switch to 2G, it shows No Service and when I switch back to 3G, I get back my network connectivity.. I have put the same SIM in different iPhones and many other phones as well and 2G is connected. But in my iPhone 5 it doesn't connect.
Also there is a problem with my Microphone. Whenever I put the call on speaker, the other person can't hear me speaking at all and when I switch off the speaker option, the other person is able to hear properly.. But this doesn't happen in the Camera app or in Voice Recorder..

Will changing the flex cable of the earphone jack solve both the problems?
Or I even saw GSM Antenna Flex Cable online.. Will it be worth if I just get the Antenna Flex Cable replaced or if I get the whole Dock Flex Cable replaced?

GSM Antenna Flex Cable links:

Help needed ASAP!

hi

the problem you describe won't be fixed by buying any sort of additional antenna unless your internal antenna is damaged.

in order to try and help you, pls provide the following info:

- model number (like A1428 or A1429 or A1442). to find this number look on the lower back of the iPhone. it is printed in the lower right area of the printed words.
- what country are you trying to use it in?
- what carrier are you trying to use it with?
- are you trying to use a GSM or CDMA signal?
- is the phone jail broken?

My iPhone's model is A1429.
I'm using it in India on TATA DOCOMO network, GSM SIM.
And the phone isn't jailbroken. I'm on iOS 8.3

But I had jailbroken the phone in the past.

I'm using it in Karnataka and here is it available!
Also, I tried with a different SIM also, it simply doesn't connect to 2G network on this specific iPhone.. I put my SIM in iPhone 6 as well and iPhone 5S and iPhone 3GS as well..
It works like charm in other devices but not on this specific iPhone 5!
