A co-worker at my work just bought a new 14" iBook 1.42 GHz G4. I helped set it up and all was fine for a week. Yesterday I got a call from her saying it was frozen and could I come and take a look at it? When I got to her office the screen was black (asleep I thought) so I hit the spacebar to wake it up. The screen popped up but had these weird horizontal lines on the left side of the screen and nothing else. Then...blackness. Nothing. The machine was still on so I rebooted. No display.
I was shocked because it's only about a week old. Of course, it's on it's way back to Apple to be fully replaced but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?
