Just wanted to note that I purchased a refurbished Powermac G5 Dual processor 2.0GHz a few weeks ago. I've run into a boot-up problem, and it seems that the logic board has gone bad. Just figured I'd share for those who might be purchasing a refurb. I'm sure Apple will fix it or replace it... I have a mac genuis apt @ my Apple store (fortunately it's just 2 mins from my house) tonight. We'll see how it goes.

well considering you get warranties with all refurbs, it happens just as there are problems with new machines. all should fix it or replace it no problem. i'd be surprised if they don't

I just got my Refurb G5 1.8 Single today. I feel for what happened to you.

When I got mine this morning, the SuperDrive would not open, it would come out like 1 inch then go back in, turns out the metal shield on the drive had gotten in front of it. I took it out, fixed it up, and it works great.

I guess that is the price that we pay for saving hundreds of dollars ;)
