Is there a way to convert an AAC-encoded file to mp3 format? My father would like one of the songs I have in iTunes but since he doesn't use iTunes I need to convert it to a format he can use.

Bookshop!
iTunes can do that for you. Just press ":apple:+," (without the quotes) -> Advanced -> Importing, and select MP3. Close the window, select the songs you want to convert, click Advanced (in the menu bar), Convert Selection to MP3

That's fine unless it's a protected AAC bought from the iTunes music store.

No problem--the song in my library is an import off of a CD I own and have sitting on my desk as I type this.:D
