I just performed the hardware test on my 17 inch Power Book. Everything tested out ok; but when I checked the hardware profile, I found the "No FireWire devices present" message. Is this normal?

I then turned on the machine and looked at the System Profiler and again it says "No FireWire devices found". It does find the USB Bus info, Bluetooth, PCI, etc, but nothing for FireWire. Is this only because I don't have any device actually connected? or should I be concerned about maybe missing something?

Do you have any firewire devices connected? Connect some and then see. Do they work or show up? I think the statement is literal.
