Las Vegas Hotel Burning RIGHT NOW!!!

Well its at the top on the fasad and people are traped turn to CNN OR BBC because your in the UK im going there right now. Link
 
Yeah, just checking it out on CNN right now... Doesn't look to major thankfully. I'm curious to know the cause.
 
It's across the top center section of the hotel. Putting out a good bit of smoke, but it appears to be contained primarily to the façade.
 
It's black smoke making me think the HVAC system burned out causing electrical fires and then spreading.

It's "façade" and "trapped" 😉 but I haven't heard any report yet about people actually being trapped - did you hear that on CNN? I sure hope that is not the case... 🙁
 
Now there saying that Traffic from Tropicana to Harmon is beging deverted

The top 4 stories are starting to catch on fire
 
The pictures on Sky News make it seem pretty big... and look like it's still spreading although the initial blacked area does seem to be out. And some rooms lower down appearing to be on fire too now...

Wonder if people are still playing the slots... 😛
 
It definitely looks like it's spreading now. Of course, if the firefighters haven't been able to do anything yet to supress the flames then that would make sense. Hopefully they'll be able to contain it soon...
 
It's pretty clear that it's just the façade...looks to be extremely flammable. Should be mostly superficial damage though if they can get it under control.

The lower sections are burning because flaming debris is landing on a ledge four floors down and catching there.

You're much better than the SKY newsreaders (admittedly not that hard) who haven't yet figured out that there's a ledge and are trying to figure out how the flames got down there 🙄
 
This fire is under control and should be out within the hour. Don't let the sensationalist media fool you.
