I just received the most recent update of the black macbook....2.4 and 2 gigs ram. My old powerbook was a 1.5 with 2 gigs ram. To test the speed difference i opened photoshop cs2 and then opened a 235 mb file. I timed how long it took to open. 1 min and 57 sec on the powerbook. The new macbook took 56 sec. Then I purchased a 4 gig upgrade from OWC and repeated the test. The time to open the file was a blazing fast 19 secs. Take it for what it is...good. By the way, i was nervous about the whole buying ram from a company and installing by myself...It was easy and owc is great company. Bye
