Every time I open imovie it works well enough, until i try and record my voice. It automaticaly shuts down imovie, and really frustrates my teacher and I. Anyone had any similar problems or know of any solutions? It's imovie 4, by the way.

Eek, iMovie 4 was always generally VERY buggy. I know how hard it is for schools to be able to get software upgrades on the whim - but I'd STRONGLY recommend getting at least up to iMovie '06 (iMovie HD).

Yeah... I know its a delayed response but....

Specs: Mac OS X version 10.3.9 PowerPC G4 (2.1)

We've upgraded about half of the tech centers computers but it's still hard to get the upgrades with the recently cut budget for the school.

Any short term fixes (or long term if you know) really would be great.

If anyone has a clue, on four of the computers with the same specs, whenever imovie opens it'll work for 20-30 seconds, and then will just crash.

Yeah, our mac's are crap for all we do with them. I know... :/
