It will probably pop up when 2.0 is installed

Some developer showed the tabs using 7.7 and 2.0 and it was there just like you're saying...so it will be there, as soon as we have apps and 2.0

I'm sure it'll show up once your iPhone is upgraded to 2.0.

Good point, that makes sense. Between it being 3:53am here and the excitement of the pending releases, I sort of ignored the logic of that detail....

app store not up yet

Yeah I have 7.7 dev and it doesn't show up in the updates? Any ideas? I deleted ItunesX.pkg out of /Library/Receipts

Do I need to delete itunes.pkg too?

Oh, I also deleted "iTunes Library" out of my iTunes folder and put the backup (from "Previous iTunes Libraries" in the iTunes folder and renamed it "iTunes Library")...

Dunno if that made any difference, though...

iPhone remote isn't what you think. It's to stream music to or from your iPhone.

Right in the download description for iTunes it says "Also use the new Remote application for iPhone or iPod touch to control iTunes playback from anywhere in your home".

Nope. Tried that too. I guess I can just wait until the proper dmg drops and install from that if all else fails.

This one feature, all by itself, makes 2.0 worth it.

Let's hope there are tons of other goodies in the App store.

While we're all awake crazy about this stuff tonight....Steve Jobs has probably been sleeping since 9PM.....with next years iPhone Air floating above his nightstand running 3.1 firmware and manages everything including life from iTunes 10

Lets hope you will be able to remotely control front row with your iphone/itouch in addition to itunes.

Yeah, I think the remote feature is fairly exciting. Besides I'm much less likely to misplace my iPhone as frequently as I lose the Apple Remote.
