DONATE to the cause...

email sent to Hackint0sh and iPhone Dev Team:

thanx for everything... i went to the link you sent me and i gave a donation (not much, but my financial situation is not so great right now... i'll keep sending you guys something for the tacos and pizzas). i wish i could do a lot more, but i'll keep trying to do my best and encourage others to do so. for those who tell you "i really appreciate what you're doing", tell them not to say it, but to show it and send them your link.

Happy Hacking :)

p.s. PayPal shows an Alexander Pick, but it's the iPhone Dev Team (you guys are the Neo [from Matrix] of Mac World bringing us to the eZion).

check out the original Thread:

then register in this site and just DONATE, no need to speak... actions speak much louder than words!!! so go to http://www.hackint0sh.org NOW!!!

how much is your iPhone's freedom worth???

just saying that people want everything for FREE, then people complain because the "server" is too slow or the server crashed. people complain why 3G Pwnage is not available or why is it taking so long. then, there's other that want to profit from iPhone Dev Team's hard work by charging for "unlocking service"

i think it's only fair that we share with the work load (or funds to support the servers and whatever needed) if we want people (iPhone Dev Team) to work hard for ALL of us. so, give a BUCK $$$$$ or $10, or $20... whatever you feel is the worth of your iPhone's freedom.

i thought dev team did not want donations cause then there more liable for legal actions. the tool is completely free and no malicious code in it.
but when you getting money for this it becomes illegal.
also they like to do it for free and see it as an hobby.

could be me but whole world wants to donate but then you can kiss a new pwnage goodbye.

when i emailed the iPhone Dev Team about some Pwnage questions and donation possability they were very kind to answer my Pwnage questions and they told me they don't accept money for the Pwnage for the reason you guys know already (legal reasons), but they did tell me that the servers that host the actual DOWNLOAD of the Pwnage Tool (which crashed when Pwnage 2.0.1 was released) can be supported through http://www.hackint0sh.org they said if i wanted to help, this is what i could do... what's funny is that if you go to http://www.hackint0sh.org and use the "contact us" form and you get a response, it is from the exact same email account as the one used by the iPhone Dev Team at http://blog.iphone-dev.org/

so look, i'm trying to do my part... you do yours (whatever you consider is "doing your part"... everyone thinks different; it's just my opinion)... i mean their website blog does say:
"Anyone who says “donate to DevTeam” in our name is lying, so don’t send them anything, you’ll just fund their crack habit."
at http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/41744653/donations-to-dev-null

but i'm not asking to donate through me... go yourself to the http://www.hackint0sh.org site and use the Contact Us form and ask about Donations to Support the "cause" (or Servers) and you'll see that you'll get an answer from an iPhone Dev Team email account... just try it and you'll see.

or look at this link to make things easier; Sam, which is iPhone Dev Team's (and Hackint0sh's) Chief Administrator will explain it to you:

Lol, nice thread :) To introduce myself, I am sam from the dev team and the chief admin of hackint0sh.org. This link is to our forums (!) doantion fond which still uses the old dev team adress as it is tied with the paypal account. As team we are no more accepting donations for serval reasons (we got all we need, is good eh? ;) ) but the forum still is as it runs a multi server cluster which is kinda expensive + a complete irc network attached (irc.osx86.hu) which needs to be paid to and is a bit more expensive than a 3G phone.

So what the forum has to do with our team? Simple, team was founded there and has its origin there. Thats the whole magic.

No scam, no magic, just something different but close.

go to:

or read the entire 9th post in this thread (which was posted by me) or the 10th post which was posted by Sam himself (the iPhone Dev Team's Chief Admin)

in my world this is called skimming.
does the dev team get the money? no someone at hackintosh gets it.
there is no liable proof then your word.
if you ad system does not work, then you might want to change the content of the ads, or even you guys can ask us to click on the damn things.
when dev team puts on there site that they want donations for server, glad to give but any fool create paypal and get donations for nothing.
and i'm not giving you a penning for just this cheap post and get rich on something you did not create.

no offence but if it was more clear.
why post on 2 sources that:
a: dev team does not want donations. http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/4174...ns-to-dev-null

b: dev team wants donations from post on hackintosh. which is already like 3 months old.
but your post only states that you want donations for hackintosh self and not for dev team.

so that kinda makes the first post here not accurate?

now doesn't that create some strange picture of the whole idea of getting donations.

you have to agree with me that any person on the web can claim that he is someone.
i would donate without a hick but why all the cloak and dagger like this. makes me wonder if my donation doesn't end up at some fat guy who then can go get his burgers at chubby checkers.

a: dev team does not want donations. see blog post dev team site.

You see any post which claims that, we as devteam (!) wants doantions? Made by any of us? The link provided, if you read it asks for doantions to the forum for the costs of the server cluster etc. (which btw. also hosts our team releases from time to time, i.e. latest pwnage tool).

let me qoute you something:

Glad you found us and we hope you stick around a while longer . As some of you are new to the iPhone scene, we please ask you to search before posting. There is a lot of information in our extensive forum and we are sure you will be able to find the answer. Our community, with more than 70,000 people, will always be here to help you in whatever your problem is, or if you're just plane curious. This is also the "house" and origin of the iPhone DevTeam- yes the one that created the jailbreak and some of the unlocks you see. So, whatever you see posted here, will ALWAYS be free and will always be supported by the community and by the developers. I am sure you are excited to get started- to get to your jailbreaking or your unlocking solution.

b: dev team wants donations from post on hackintosh.

You still get it wrong, please read above.

now doesn't that create some strange picture of the whole idea of getting donations.

No unless someone not uses reading_skills.app.

you have to agree with me that any person on the web can claim that he is someone.

Oh a misbeliver :p , please mail me under the given eMail adress, I will reply you with vertification as soon as I get home.

Or doante to strange people with stolen code and a Z in the name who buy SLK 230k form their donations moonies... o_O
