Beta 4 released today and it looks like they removed all CCLocation and all of the remote notification additions. Maybe there will not be GPS turn by turn in 2.1.

Check the release notes, I believe at one point the GPS Location data had been renamed. I wasn't accepted into the iPhone development program before July 11th, so I can't look and see.

If they were renamed then there would have been adds. These are all "Removed" message calls. Nothing is replacing them and the notes for Beta 4 specifically state that te Notifications are being removed for further development. Hopefully they will be back but I have a feeling they will not return until 2.1.1 or so.

iphone OS 2.1 beta 4 - PULLED?

Several developers are logging in and not seeing this release Beta 4.
Even after receiving the email about the build.

Beta's for 2 and 3 are still posted, but no 4.

Welp, I logged in once more and now it has been reverted back to the links for Beta 3. I guess they finally kicked it.

UPDATE!!
Beta 4 just came back up. Same changes though.

You answered your own question. Only the initial group of 4,000 developers has access to the betas (including the new Beta 4).

Why This ? I think apple will kill their fans and developers.
I paid for it and now I do not get the benefit.
Does anybody know why they do this ?

Will they bring out even more buggy firmwares like 2.0 and 2.01.

I aks myself why they dont need testern anymore.

They did not learn with the mobileme,firmware2.0,leopard bug desasters
