With Macworld out of the way, we all know the iPhone Nano is somewhere around the corner. Should be interesting. I can't claim to know anything about it but a colleague of mine bought an iPhone nano in China... (yeah, one of those).
Anyway, it's very convincing and yet.... oh so far...

Here are the (typical blurry) photos for your interest. And yes, i took those photos with an iPhone so what can you say? they aren't built for macro photography.

Sorry about the reflective screen on the real iPhone, no idea why some people would want to make it darker than it already is. The phone is well built, heavy in the hand and an awesome replica. Down to the SIM card slot.
I played around with the OS and touch screen. crappy and slow. The touch screen was meant to be used with a stylus, it's not finger friendly. resolution was... first gen iPod nano... (if you know what i mean).

Cost? less than 100 USD. works like a charm though, tons of hacked software included. runs EDGE. not sure about GPS and WiFi. can't really figure it out, it's all in Chinese.

Some flaws i've found: strange apple icon, USB connection is not proprietary, labelled 16GB (it's only 1GB), built in cam is a little bit recessed. Damn i wished i took better photos. let me know if you guys want a specific screen or angle. this thing is insanely awesome for 100 bucks though. oh yeah, it's not 3G.

Change the title of your thread to read FAKE, because you're claiming otherwise in the title but know it in your post.

I admit, though, that's a GOOD fake. What does the interface look like? :p

very amusing phone. but i can't get over how solid this thing is. i agree with those who can't stand knock offs, but this is pretty impressive.

Last but not least

More shots of the OS. didn't have a chance to play with it much. oh yeah, no accelerometer. all the other external buttons are virtually the same. and yes to speaker phone, yes to MP3/MP4/AAC...

For those familiar with any korean or chinese PMPs or MP3 players, DVD players etc... you know that this thing virtually plays all formats of... virtually everything. don't ask me how.

Again... $100 , what can you ask for?

i don't understand what's so cool about the whole iphone nano idea anyway. An iphone with a smaller screen? why would you want that?

Maybe the fact that they do like money is the fact that their making the iPhone Nano, smart phones are a minority of phones "dumb" phones is what most people have and the iphone nano (if it comes out) will probably attract that different market.

The iPhone exists to KILL the dumbphone market. The iPhone has shown that there is NO market for a phone that can do nothing.

Since I'm sick of this topic, and think it should die, I'm going to take this thread in a different direction...

Periods are used to seperate thoughts. We call these thoughts "sentences". That "c" is pronounced like an "s", just to avoid any confusion. Education helps us to construct meaningful "sentences". Let's give this a try...

Which is correct?

A. why dont you think the nano will come out its a good idea and it would benefit apple because they would make more money saying its not a good idea is stoopid because apple likes money and not everybody wants to pay for a data plan i think your retarded because you dont agree with me LOLZ

C. The iPhone nano is a figment of your imagination. There is no good reason to release anything less useful than the iPhone because the main reason the iPhone was released was to give people a seperate option for a simple phone while incorporating smartphone features. Apple does not need to sell a "dumbphone". Period.

Class dismissed.
