Hi Everyone I've had this problem about 2 weeks ago until i calibrated the battery after trying all the things such as holding the power button for 10 seconds and holding those 4 buttons Commabd, Option, R and P while the laptop was off ...so it happened again with the full battery charged i get 1:47 hours of battery in "Better Battery Life" mode ...

What do you guys recomend ? will buying a new battery help to solve the issue ?

Use CoconutBattery or iStat Pro to determine the health of your battery.

As your System Profiler text indicates, your battery has only 1847 mAh of capacity left, which 42 percent of its original capacity of around 4400 mAh (I don't remember exactly).

So 107 minutes seems about right (it's only an approximation), concluding that you once had a battery life of 254 minutes.

If your battery has less than 300 load cycles (battery discharges) and less than 80% of its original capacity (called battery health), Apple will replace your battery, as seems to be your case (you have 167 cycles).

Dear spinnerlys
i actually used the coconut, what it shows is that my macbook is 11 months old, even though i have the purchase recipt which is about 8 months ago !!! WEIRD
and about the health current battery capacity is 2006, therefore the full capacity should be 5020 and about the cycle, its 168 ..
and it shows 39 % on the bottom bar

I hope so , i actually took it to an apple store, the genious guy was being a jerk and telling me its like 168 cycle and it has passed half of the full cycle which is 300, so its ok that you just have 1:45 of charge ....
so u think they are supposed to replace it for free right away ?
