I have been given an iBook G3 l2 in. laptop.It has mac OS X 10.4.11 operating system.I went to the site for downloading windows media player and was told to use the flip4 mac . It keeps telling me mac error-50 and will not open.I have downloaded it 4 times and each time I get the same results.:confused:

Do you have at least quicktime 7.1 installed? That's required for sure.

If yes, it may be that you need a G4 to run, not positive on that 2nd bit though.

The error, does it correspond to WMP or Flip4Mac? If you're still trying to install or get WMP to work, don't, Flip4Mac works just fine with little hassle.

Flip4Mac does not work on a PowerPC G3 processor. Try getting the Windows Media Player by Microsoft. I believe that one will work. Though I don't know what kind of media playing performance you will get of a processor without AltiVec (not a G4/5).

Edit: wait, apparently "older" Flip4Mac might work on G3 too.
Edit2: Flip4Mac v2.1.3.10 should work. v2.2.1.11 too
