iphone can't restore help plz

Got a new iphone 3gs, jailbreak, unlock it, and installed tmobile carrier bundle. Then today I erase all the content and settings of the iphone. When it restarts it hangs on the apple log with the spinning sign.

I tried to restore it to 3.0 and 3.0.1 and no go it just gives me error msgs.

If I take this to apple for a swap will they do it or will I get in trouble?
