From my understanding apple employees aren't allowed to post on rumor sites such as this one. I'd have to be a crazy mofo to post something like that and have a chance at losing my job.

don't really know what the video proves apart from

1. the source is a AppleCare Support Specialist (most likely working form home)
2. they are running snow leopard (build 10A432)

i was told that apple gave out build 10A432 to all employees that needed to learn and train on snow leopard for support / all AppleCare Support Specialist world wide.

this is why there have been a lot of leaked info and builds. and why every one thinks build 10A432 is GM.
+ i hear that the dvd's sent where the ones with the snow leopard on it / the same as the images leaked a week ago http://www.macrumors.com/2009/08/15/...ail-packaging/

Make sure ALL apps are up to date and are compatible with SL. If your work is important and you need to ensure that you are going to be able to run your apps for work, then wait.

It's not worth updating the core OS to then not have apps work well with it... Trust me, SL is great but if it causes some issues to start with then wait a bit. Get it now, just wait a bit till you've read ALL the comments from our crash test pilots who's report will give us the much needed push to tighten up the areas SL might have issues with or better yet, big companies like adobe etc.

This is just a friendly reminder that things don't always go hand in hand after such an update... Be patient and wait till the coast is clear and all the major bugs killed!

Excellent tip-- I was wondering abot this and am now sure that i will wait.

This may be true but as we all heard they already did post production of the disc and is set to launch soon, which means they said they made the disc n packaging so maybe the build 10A432 we all think that is GM is actually GM unless they pulled a fast one on us and the 10A436 is GM or was it 10A446 I forgot.

Leopard 10.5.0 came out Oct 26 2007. Leopard 10.5.1 update came Nov 15 2007. Those "builds" you're seeing are probably beta 10.6.1. Even if they were fake the kernel build in those pics with 10.0.1. Which would signify 10.6.1.

Could this have something to do with the "slow" shipment of my new MBP..
I ordered it on Aug 17 and it was shipped on Aug 20.. well, I bought the iPod Nano too, because of their campaign..

Usually these shipments take no more than 3-4 business days (including the Merge in transit) but my Apple Shipment status still says delivery estimated to Aug 28 - 31, and it hasn't changed since i got the dispatch note, which is very unusual..

Looking forward to see which OS I'll be getting

Actually this has been confirmed.

10A432 is not a GM. The Japanese guy, who received Mac mini along with the Snow Leopard Install DVD, finally installed it and reported that the final build is 10A436.


EDIT: ok so I hear 10A436 is not GM either, wtf? Someone stated on twitter, http://twitter.com/john_reid_esq but should we believe him?

and also has no screen shots of the build.

i don't know about you. but if i got a new OS with my new mac mini before the rest of the world.

i would be upload some photos. . . .

+ that mac mini will be attest 1 weeks old. (time from the mac mini leaving the factory to being at his house)

I just upgraded my older developer seed to 10A432. Worked fantastic.

And that's the prove, because Apple clearly and officially stated that it would be impossible to upgrade the develeoper seeds to the final version.

Go figure.

yes I agree, works awesome noticed a big increase in performance in copying files to playing a bunch of 720 HD videos at once.

China always gets everything first, but doesn't make sense if a regular non employee from the apple factory would get SL mac mini because that will be posted up. THe pics you see is a employee who posted those pics up but can't post the build because someone not saying any names COUGHstevejobscough wouldn't allow it.
