I think have a simple question, but have not seen any answers that have helped.
I have a PowerBook G4, OS X 10.4, 512 ram with 10g of space (Yep, pretty old!).
I had a 250g external hard drive with its own power source and have just bought a 320 Buffalo portable external hard drive.
The 320 wont mount. I have used the HD in other Macs, other PCs, and another Powerbook with the same specs as mine, it has always worked fine in other computers. On mine it doesn't mount or doesn't register in disk utilities. The only thing I can think of is a power problem, but that's only a guess and am not sure how to overcome that problem.
The 250 HD sometimes takes a while to mount, but will get there in the end. Cameras mount, my ipod and iphone mount, but not this 320.
Does anyone have suggestions about how to get the 320 HD to mount?
