iphone keeps telling me i have an accessory attached when i havnt??

this is strange been getting this all morning, Ive turned the phone off then back on but still getting these messages??
would a restore be in order??

Are you using the charger from apple, Or is it after market? Have you tried another charger?
 
this is happening when I'm not charging!! and the only charger I do use is the apple charger
 
I've seen this happen a few times. You need to restore it. And sometimes restoring doesn't fix it either. Something goes crazy with the docking port, so you may need to take it to the Apple Store for replacement. But, try restoring it first.
 
I just restored it, I'll see if it comes back and it'll be straight to the apple store!
 
This happened to me after I spilled a little water on the table and a bit splashed into the dock connector of the phone - it just crosses a couple connections inside, making it think that you've just plugged in some unknown charging accessory. Has the phone recently been near water or anything like that? If it has, then just give it a day or two to dry out.

I don't think so but I've started letting my son play with the phone alot maybe he has done something🙄🙄

so more minigore for him😎
 
It happens to me with Mophie Power Pack

I get that same error message when my Mophie Power Pack's energy is all used up when it's still attached to my iPhone.

Yeah, that's a sign of water damage in the dock connector or possibly just some dirt or dust. Try using a small paint brush (or compressed air...don't blow on it) to clean it out.

Confirming the water answer! try just turning the phone off if if comes back on then yeah you got wetness in the dock connector port. I just went through this as my wife dropped hers in the toilet - phone would not stay off cause it kept seeing that something was being plugged in and when the phone is off and you plug it in to charge it will turn back on.

So as my phone lays in its bed of rice for the next 2 days I would taker a blow dryer to it on low heat. I did that for about 20 mins and it stopped getting that error. (also shake, the phone as if you wanted to force the water out of the port)

anyway let us know if drying it out worked? cause it does sound like a water issue.
 
I was out with my phone in light drizzle and this happened. Blew on the dock connector a bit and let it dry out and it fixed itself.
