3GS on 3.1 - need your help please

They both have the same baseband version in those firmware versions. 🙂

As for your steps you are close:

1. run blackra1n
2. run blacksnow
3. ???
4. Profit and insert sim and talk away?

Please see my response in one of your other threads (please don't open multiple threads about the same issue, by the way). Because your phone is new, it may not be that simple.
