iPod More precise chronological order?

I use grid view and sort album by year. It works nicely most of the time but when an artist has multiple albums in the same year, it will sort alphabetically within that year. This causes some albums to not be in perfect chronological order.

A remedy to this would be if you could also specify the month in which the album was released. Is anything like this possible?
