I have consolidated (sold) part of my collection on eBay. I tend to only keep Macs around now that are super-rare and 100% working.
Some of that I have now include: Macintosh Portable M5126 backlit model, working with reconditioned battery Macintosh Portable M5120 non-backlit, working with reconditioned battery PowerBook 100 - working with NEW battery Mac Color Classic with case, working with keyboard Newton MP 2000 - working with case and keyboard Clear Newton 110 developer's edition - on the way (shipping) as I speak Pismo 500MHz PowerBook Mac LC II - I kept my first computer PowerMac G3 Beige 233MHz (don't know why I bought this) PowerMac 6500/225 (don't know why I bought this either)

Yeah, I'm the same way, I don't have the slew of performa machines and stuff, I just kept or gathered the ones I thought were most interesting to me in the make timeline. I'd love to get a 20th, need to pick up a cube...

The date your Mac was born on is easy to find out. Look at the serial number for example 3R550115SWZ ignore the first two characters, the third is the year of build, in this example its 5 for 2005 (you need to guess the decade, shouldn't be too hard!) the fourth and fifth digits are the week of build, in this case 50, so second week in December - easy.

This is my only Mac for now. I actually use it a lot for things like games, IM, typing papers, space heater, etc. The built-in speakers sound awesome so it's sort of become my full-time internet radio, too. It's a 600mhz/1gb RAM/DVD model, and I replaced the noisy stock hard drive with a laptop one so it's really quiet. |

ok not many
but they are still in daily use eMac 1.42 iMac G3 600mhz had 2 powermac g5 quad 2.5 ' s but sold them as i simply could not justify keeping them as the emac and the iMac g3 do what i need a computer for , so they had to goto make space for a Power Mac 5500/275 (tv ,europe only model) which has now connected a freeview (dvb-t) box with aerial feed and in daily use as a tv and for playing some old os9 games

I plan on selling a ton of my iBooks for a 12in PowerBook G4 1.5Ghz.I really like the 12in screen since my everyday portable is a 466Mhz iBook Clamshell Graphite.I have a PowerBook G4 Ti 1Ghz,now with dead screen. But I like the 12in screen, the 800x600 res is a killer though.I should buy a Powerbook 12 soon because I like them a lot and need a VGA/DVI port for a projector at church. I would kill for a Cube, I would use it as my media center instead of a PowerBook.
