So far no change that I can notice. Maybe later at night, when I start fidling with it.

Is it snappier? :D

+1 on the proximity request. Please let us know if you experience proximity sensor issues after installing 4.1 beta 2.

I can't duplicate the problem with the proximity sensor after updating to 4.1 Beta 2. I'll keep playing with it, may be placebo effect. I don't notice any other changes in the iOS yet.

It seems to kick in (for most people) on longer phone calls. The real test is if you can try and line up the sensor with your inner ear - as in the sensor is pointed directly into your ear canal and see if you can see the screen turning on.

With my week 27 (upgrded from week 25) phone I've yet to have a problem with my sensor except when putting it on my shoulder.

Called my home phone and tested for 5 minutes. Positioned the iPhone on my shoulder and the sensor went off and on repeatedly. I held the sensor next to my inner ear and it started doing the same thing again. It doesn't appear that the update fixed the proximity sensor. :(

Comfirming the Proximity Sensor issue is still there. I was in a self call and my ear triggered Speaker phone mode.

Yep. Appreciate the effort testing it out, guys. I'm guessing though if Apple had a permanent "Fix" they'd be screaming it from the roof tops.

Ya that's my thinking too. There is nothing mentioned in the Release Notes indicating a fix was done on the proximity sensor. Maybe the next Beta will fix it.

could the prox sensor be a hardware problem? My company ordered 40 iPhone 4's and we've had them two weeks. Only one person had this issue, but it was a result of them restoring their iPhone 3g backup to the iphone 4. after a factory restore, the iphone 4 was fine.

Mine wouldn't authorize in iTunes. It gave a blank dialog box. Anyone else?

I DFU'd and tried again. Now I'll re-download.
