I was on the page to place an order but didn't go through with it because I'm concerned about the issues I've heard of. Mostly the touchscreen complaints.

I have a friend who switched to a Nexus One and he's really liking it. I played with the phone a bit, it definitely has a nicer screen than the iPhone. Better color, much higher resolution. The audio seems very good and it will play the same media the iPhone will (except the protected iTunes Movies).

Once the Apps catch up a bit, it will be a strong candidate for my next phone.

My biggest issue with the iPhone: lack of multi-tasking totally sucks
Biggest issue with Android: smaller App market (so far)

Maybe this will help them break the 200,000 mark lmfao.

200,000?

That's OVER 9,000!!!!

Aaaand... Back on topic...

I've thought about the touch screen issue too. I don't know... I like the Desire but I don't know if it has the same issue as well (ie, same sensor). But the Desire is T-Mo bands...

I wonder just how bad it is though. It's really the only thing you hear complaints about and sometimes they get exaggerated if its the ONLY thing people can find wrong with a device :)

Do I understand this right, if I purchase an unlocked Nexus One I can simply move my SIM card over from my iPhone and I'm good to go?

I'd be interested to know this as well...

Yes, that should be all you need to do. You could switch your Dataplan from iPhone to SmartPhone, but they are the same price so no point...

It's an unlocked phone, so it should work just fine. Since the SIM is activated, I don't think you have to activate or do anything else with it. I put my iPhone SIM in a cheap flip phone when I go out to bars to "minimize risk" :D

The online community definitely gives a skewed view of the defects in products but the overwhelming complaints makes me worry. With rumors of such a small number of units sold, it seems odd to see so many complaints.

Users on the Google support forums don't seem to be very optimistic with poor customer service from both Google and HTC.

I think I may wait to see if these issues are ever resolved.

I don't see many complaints there though. I'm wondering if most of this has been resolved. You know how it goes. People don't necessarily blow up the forums with "fixed now btw". That may only pop up once for every 50 posts about it being broken. :)

These AT&T Nexus One's should be arriving to users tomorrow right? Hopefully we will get some good information if some of the problems have been fixed.

I hope the issues have been resolved. I'd love to get one, but I'll wait until I hear that the touchscreen/3G issues are not present on the AT&T models.

I absolutley LOVE my iPhone and have no problems with it whatsoever. That being said, I get bored easily. I may buy a N1 just to have a change of pace. I can switch back and forth between the two then.

:D

Haha, that's exactly what I want to do. I couldn't bare to sell my iPhone!

I'm really leaning towards buying one. The only thing stopping me is the Nexus Two aka Motorola Shadow, which has been rumored for awhile, since I REALLY would like a physical keyboard.

You actually could switch the data plan to a standard phone data plan, which is $15, so there would be a point.

I would be 100% sold if the N1 had Sense UI... Saw the rumor about Verizon getting it on their nexus one.

I love my iPhone, but I do get bored quickly. I'm waiting to see if Apple come out with something compelling in June. If not, then I'm out.

I'm glad they finally brought it to Canada, though paying full price kind of sucks.

But I'd be stupid to make a decision now without seeing the new iPhone. So this news is useless to me personally :(
